큼지막한 공이 공중을 그리며 날아가는 순간, 김학준은 자신에게 약속한다. “오늘은 어제보다 조금 더 멀리.” 경기도 장애인 기회소득을 만나면서 그의 하루는 조금 더 단단해졌다. 낡은 철공 대신 손에 딱 맞는 공인구를, 헐거운 운동화 대신 발에 꼭 맞는 투포환화를 갖게 되었다. 그는 경기도 장애인 기회소득으로 장비를 갖추고 꾸준히 훈련하며 기록을 늘렸다. 그리고 마침내 경기도민체전에서 금메달을 목에 걸었다. “기회소득은 나에게 계획표다.” 김학준에게 기회소득은 하루를 움직이게 하는 동력이다. 매일 3천 보를 걸으며 훈련 일지를 적고, 자신과의 약속을 지키는 법을 배워왔다. 지금 그는 2028년 로스앤젤레스 패럴림픽 출전을 꿈꾸고 있다. 그의 손에서 던져지는 공처럼, 학준의 꿈도 멈추지 않고 계속 앞으로 나아가고 있다.

As the shot soars through the air, Hakjun Kim makes a promise to himself: “Today, I’ll throw a little farther than yesterday.” Through the Opportunity income for the disabled program, his days became stronger and more focused. He equipped himself with proper gear, trained steadily, and won a gold medal at the Gyeonggi Provincial Sports Festival. “The Opportunity income for the disabled is my daily plan,” he says. Walking 3,000 steps and writing his training log each day, he learned to keep promises to himself. Now he dreams of the 2028 Los Angeles Paralympics. Like the ball thrown from his hand, Hakjun’s dream keeps moving forward without stopping.
